Hi, I want to connect 2 laptops to transfer files. The first laptop is a Dell Latitude the other is a HP Pavillion, I want to transfer these files without a modem, which cable do I need, is it the 9 pin or the 29 pin?
You will need to identify the RS232 ports on your PCs. Some Dell Latitudes are not supplied with an RS232 port. If this is true then you will require AA1657 with the relevant null modem adapter or cable. Also you will require the necessary software to transfer the files between you computers.
