Do you sell SCART cable to connect your wall plate outlets?
We do stock SCART cable which we sell by the meter

Hi, hope you can help, I have SCART's connected to my TV, sky box and dvd player. These SCART's came with the products when I purchased them. Could you tell me which SCART's to buy which would give me a better quality picture and sound. Do all SCART's fit all TVs, dvd players and sky boxes. Also is all the talk of gold plated SCART's giving a noticeable improvement or just an excuse to make you waste your money.
Yes, a SCART lead will fit any TV, dvd player or sky box.
We would make sure that the TV, DVD player and sky box support RGB. Providing they all do , then we would upgrade for "fully connected" leads and make sure that the TV, DVD player and sky box are all providing and using RGB signal instead of the old composite signal.

Then connect the sound to you audio amplifier. TV speakers tend to be rather lacking in quality.

My Pioneer LX60 is connected to my TV by HDMI. Can I use a SCART cable to connect a Toshiba DVD to the Pioneer?
No, as the Pioneer does not have any SCART inputs.

I want to connect a DVD to TV. I recently brought one, it works my sons TV and does not work on the main TV. Why?
There are two ways for a SCART cable to transmit the TV signal.

  • Composite, a standard rf signal
  • RGB, three signals as red, green and blue

Our cables a "fully connected" allowing both options. I expect you cable will work but you need to change a setting on either the DVD or TV so that they are both "RGB" or "composite". For further information please refer to your manuals.

Can I use the 10 metre SCART to SCART cable, AA1475 to connect my freeview box to the TV?
Yes, there should be no problems with our 10M cable, AA1475

My equipment (freeview box) was supplied with an 18 way SCART cable. Will a fully connected cable work?
Yes, you equipment will work.
Usually you have to configure your equipment to use the extra wires, normally this is the "RGB" option.
