AA1566 Frequently Asked Questions

I am a bit confused as to what adapters I will need to allow me to use my UK telephone in Spain.

Will this enable me to connect a UK phone to a Sri Lanka phone line?
Yes, they use both British and US phone sockets.

I am about to move to Spain. I will have to install a telephone. I want to take my remote handset phones, 2 off and my fax. What connector do I need?
Yes will require the following:

Spanish to UK telephone socket adapter, AA1566. Fit this to each Spanish telephone socket you want to use.
Telephone share adapter. Use these where you want to plug two or more telephones into the same socket
Power plug adapter, AA2242. Initially this acceptable but you should check with a qualified engineer for a permanent solution. For example changing to a European mains lead.

I am using a British telephone in Spain and an RJ11 cable to plug it in but it does not work. Will this fix my problem?
Yes, this will fix your issues. Providing the issue is that the phone does not ring on incoming calls but can make outgoing calls with out any problems.
