Yes, providing the RJ45 socket is a telephone connection and NOT a network connection.
I have a BT telephone socket, usually with a RJ11 line to my PC, used for

No, the adapter cannot convert a telephone signal to a network signal.
I have a German DSL Modem which has a wire with RJ45 pins at both ends.
I need to convert the end which goes into the splitter into RJ11 Will this adapter

I have a Netgear modem, router for my AOL connection. It's fine for the
wireless laptop, but my PC has an RJ11 input and the router has only RJ45 output.
Can I use this to connect this into the RJ45 socket of the router and then run
an RJ11 cable to the PC?
No, I expect the RJ11 connection on the PC is a telephone connection. You will
need to add a network connection to your PC We have a USB
to Network adapter you might like to consider.
We have a network at work which terminates in an RJ45 socket, I am trying
to plug the RJ45 into a router with an RJ11 socket. Will this adapter do the job?
No. I expect you will find that the RJ11 connection is an ADSL connection and
not a network connection. The adapter is for RJ45 telephone connected systems,
not for network connections.
Will this allow me to plug a RJ45 cable and this into the RJ11 socket on
the back of my computer.
Yes, you can plug an RJ45 cable into an RJ11 socket on you computer. Remember
that the RJ45 connector is connected as an 8P4C and not the more typical 8P8C
type.
