AA1715 Frequently Asked Questions

I wish to connect my old scanner to a USB port on my new laptop running Windows XP. The scanner has a 25 D pin male output and needs to receive a 25 D pin female. You do not seem to have a cable that can achieve this in one go. Will the combination of an AA1205 from the scanner coupled to an AA1715 to the laptop work. If so do I need any special drivers and do these come with the cables?
Yes, this will work but you must check that the scanner device driver will work correctly under XP.

Can I use this yo plug a USB device into the parallel port of my PC?
No, you require a PC with a USB port.

My printer cable has a 25-pin plug. Is this the right adapter for my laptop?
This device is connected to the printer, not the printer cable. For some HP printers you do require the adapter AA1708.
