I have NTL broadband with Ethernet cable RJ45 male. I have a Belkin router with BT line cable RJ11 male. If I buy a coupler RJ45 female to female does it work?
Yes, providing both ports are the same type, i.e. network, telephone, Ethernet etc. This adapter does not convert between connection types.

Is this suitable for joining 2 US style telephone plugs?
Yes, this coupler will connect two US style, RJ11 plus together.
