It can be used but remember:

• The existing system should have a 75 ohm impedance.
• You can use a Y splitter, but it is usually better to use a signal booster. Of course, this depends upon your specific circumstances
• It is usually better to run the cable indoors to protect it from the weather.

Is this cable suitable for linking up a satellite dish to the receiver and from there to the TV?
