No, most stereos have these phono connectors and require the male version. The usual cable can be found here.

Can this cable be used to plug the I-Pod in to the 3.5 mm input on the Toyota Aygo CD player, to play the I-Pod through the car stereo?
No, because most ipods do not have phono outputs.
