AA3325 frequently Asked Questions

Is it necessary to use 6 way cable for telephone and broadband use or will 4 way do, and is this cable superior type to your 4 way stuff and transmits the signal better? I intend to provide broadband and telephone to around 4 or 5 rooms. Which cable is best and can I dot it all from the main BT socket in the house?
For domestic use you only require 4 way cable. Offices require 6 way when they use a PABX. There is no difference in signal quality between the 4 and 6 wire cable.
You should be able to connect to a broadband connection from any extension. Unfortunately some people have experienced problems with this arrangement. They have found that their broadband connection needs to be a direct connection to the master socket. We suggest you contact your broadband provide who should have more information on the operating characteristics of the broadband which they provide.
