This shuttered secondary telephone socket is designed for use as an extension line socket.

Fitting Instructions

1. Connect the EARTH wire or wires to the terminal marked E, EARTH, bare earth
   wire or wires must be covered with green and yellow PVC sleeving.
2. Carefully move about 40 mm of earth from the cable and 3 mm of insulation
   from each wire.
3. It is normal to have only four wires on domestic installations, i.e. terminal
   1 and 6 are not used.
4. Connect wires to terminals, ensure that all terminals are tightened securely.
5. If in doubt consult a qualified telephone technician.
